Finance Vendor Performance Manager

Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency, and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.

How you will create an impact

  • Lead Transformation, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence across Finance Operations, specifically around our performance, negotiations, and contract compliance with key finance function vendors.

  • You will be the Global Process Owner accountable for developing and operationalizing end to end process for vendor performance management.

  • Accountable for governance of third-party partners, including Accenture, and oversight of finance resources located in India and Knoxville, TN supporting Comptrollers, FP&A, GOE, Tax, Treasury, SOX, Reinsurance, and Investments.

  • Responsibilities include, vendor relationship management, vendor delivery performance, contract and commercial management, transition oversight, controls standards, and service level performance management.

  • We are seeking a driven leader and effective problem solver, one who is energized by the prospect of what “can be” vs. “what is” the current state.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Experience manager with proven ability to navigate through an organization to “get things done”, set strategic direction and define priorities.

  • Effective in managing/influencing virtual teams and partners.

  • Experience with transformations, that requires strategic thinking and ability to see through execution.

  • A Deep skills and experience in project management

  • Keen ability to identify and implement improvement and transformation opportunities to enhance the customer experience.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering exceptional results, with an ability to speak to process improvements and specific results achieved.

  • Metric oriented, with a track record of delivering value add solutions.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Inclusive leader who fosters a culture of diversity and inclusion

  • BA/BS degree required. MBA/MS/Professional degree preferred.

  • Self-starter that is comfortable working in a dynamic program environment that includes a degree of ambiguity. Willing to dive in as part of the team to get the job done.
