Position Summary

The Azure Data Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure-based database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. This is a hybrid role, meaning working from an office at least three times weekly, from our West Palm Beach, FL location. The posted salary will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline salary is $84,000- $100,000.

Minimum Requirements

— Bachelor’s degree in a related field (IT, etc.) from an accredited university.

— 2 years of related work experience

— Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure data warehouse and Lakehouse architecture.

— Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Lake Storage

— Solid understanding of data modeling, database architecture, and performance tuning.

— Experience with data integration and ETL processes.

— Proficiency in SQL scripting and other relevant programming languages.

— Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

— Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot database issues efficiently.

— Relevant certifications in Azure are a plus.

Main Responsibilities

— Design and implement Azure-based database solutions, including data modeling, schema design, and query optimization.

— Manage and maintain database instances, ensuring high availability, security, and disaster recovery capabilities.

— Build and deploy ETL pipelines to import and export data from, and to, varying sources.

— Collaborate with development and business intelligence teams to understand data requirements and provide effective database solutions.

— Optimize database performance through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.

— Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure data quality and compliance.

— Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs.

— Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Azure Synapse to continuously enhance the organization's data capabilities.

— Collaborate with the Data Analytics, Governance and Automation teams to support all data and reporting related efforts.

— Work closely with all Lines of Business and Functional Groups to gather requirements and provide robust, scalable and reliable solutions.

— Provide Application and Systems Support. Evaluate and resolve database contention and performance issues.

— Participate and support database activities that encompass designing, sourcing, and overseeing development projects.

— Represent Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and the General Dynamics network.
