Position Summary

An Effectual Senior Software Engineer designs, develops, and deploys cloud-based applications for our clients. You will collaborate with teams, including architects and project managers, to ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions. They report to the Software Engineering Manager.

A Glimpse into the Daily Routine of a Senior Software Engineer

A Senior Software Engineer will spend the bulk of their time collaborating with their assigned project team. You will implement new application features, identifying, and fixing bugs, performing general code maintenance, and researching/planning for future development efforts. You will participate in daily stand-ups where they communicate progress made since the last check in, re-evaluate any estimates, agree on priorities for the day, and voice any blockers that the team needs to be made aware of. A Senior Software Engineer will work through their assigned tasks in priority order, assist the team with any issues that arise through Slack or ad-hoc meetings, perform peer code reviews, and support the grooming and estimation of tasks in preparation for future sprints. At the completion of a sprint, a Senior Software Engineer will demo their work to the team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Software Engineers design and implementation of Java &.NET application code

• Define the Cloud Architecture for both pure and hybrid cloud solutions.

• Have and maintain an understanding of AWS Cloud services offered and understand how to use them to design solutions for complex business problems.

• Help create a DevOps-enabled automated ContinuousIntegration – Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) solution that delivers tools and processes for rapid application development efforts and ongoing production operations.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to developsound automation solutions.

• Independently responsible for the entire lifecycle of medium and large features from desgin through deployment.

  Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or related field

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate

  Skills Required

• Cloud architecture, cloud-native design, cloud computing, storage and database

• Grasp of information security best practices

• Command of one IaC platform

• Designing, Coding, Debugging and Testing Software

• Familiarity with at least one SQL or NoSQL database platform

• Requirements Analysis

• Systems Design

• Understanding of at least one SDLC model and all phases

• Understand Application Lifecycle Management

• Solid command of at least one programming language

• Understanding of data structures and algorithms

Salary Range: $140,000-$165,000

Travel Requirements
