Senior Electrical Designer Location: Omaha, NE Description:

  • Purpose of Position Provide comprehensive electrical design support for projects related to pipeline facilities (measurement and regulation stations, compressor stations, Client plants, pipelines, etc.).

  • Prepares detailed functional and physical design drawings of electrical equipment and related facilities in accordance with accepted design practices and standards.

  • This includes technical area plans, wiring schematics and layout diagrams for power and controls projects.

  • Perform calculations including electrical load calculations, conduit and electrical system sizing, and equipment capacity.

  • Ensure design drawings meet Company specifications, regulatory and safety requirements.

  • Assist Engineers with resolving any electrical design issues and developing effective solutions.

    Qualifications

  • An associate’s degree in engineering or a related field, a technical degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Three to four years of related experience in gas pipeline engineering, operations or construction is preferred.

  • Seeking candidates with electrical utility design experience.

  • Candidates must have proficiency in AutoCAD as well as recent experience in designing and drafting electrical systems in a utility environment.

  • Position entails designing and running electrical circuits.

  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Excel is required.

  • Experience with Adobe/BlueBeam is a plus.

  • Knowledge in engineering and operations related, codes, standards and procedures, i.e. (DOT, FERC, OSHA, NNG, etc.).
