Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assist with the development of inspection & training plans to align with the integrated inspection strategies.

  • Monitor and schedule internal inspection maintenance systems & auditing.

  • Provide planning and scheduling support to the project team in accordance with offshore procedures.

  • Liaise with management, staff on/offshore, and client personnel.

  • Assist in scheduling and monitoring of inspection visits and services.

  • Ensure the project team are informed of all external communications relating to their projects.

  • Accurate weekly and monthly reports and programs (where required).

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

  • Endeavouring to develop innovative solutions in order to optimise project efficiency and differentiate Oceaneering from its competitors.

  • Attending technical and operational meetings as required.

  • Ensuring Operations Managers/Team Leaders approve or are informed of all external communications relating to their projects.

  • Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment;

  • Promote a strong HSE culture at all times;

  • Ensure that personnel identify with and achieve, the necessary Health and Safety performance standards associated with the relative risks to personnel and plant in their environment and daily work;

  • Ensure that business and HSE risk implications of integrity issues are clearly identified and assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Integrity Management Team and communicated to the Client;

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems;

  • Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems for the Company; and

  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications and Training

  • Completed training and/or experience with software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, Prometheus or similar

  • Administrative qualifications and/or tertiary level diploma within field


  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Administration and/or Project Planning within the Engineering or Mechanical Maintenance arena

  • Experience within the Inspection/Integrity arena (desirable)

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry (desirable)

  • Experience working effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as peers, staff groups (outside the formal line of authority), senior management, external vendors etc.

Required Skills and Aptitudes

  • Demonstrated high level communication skills - written and verbal

  • Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving

  • Ability to self-manage when required and work unassisted during peak demand

  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills with a high level of attention to detail

  • An understanding of ISO9001, 17025 & 17020 requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with the Client and/or contractor at various levels of seniority

  • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition and provide flexibility with working hours as required
