Kimley-Horn Project Manager - Waterfront and Ports in Virginia Beach, Virginia
Overview
Kimley-Horn has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated Project Manager to join our growing Waterfront and Ports practice in Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will be a leader in a practice specializing in Structural or Civil Engineering services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, required
Professional licensure as a P.E. in Virginia
10+ years of diversified civil engineering experience in growing and leading a public or private sector waterfront and ports practice – preferred experience in the Hampton Roads market but not required
Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, fees and budgets, and schedules
History of providing technical design and planning in the areas of waterfront structures and marine environments
Strong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problems
Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
Demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
Strong technical writing and communication skills
