Insight Global Sr. Product Designer in Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

As a Lead Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience vision for lululemon's native apps for the Educator Experiences team: MyDay App and Back-Back Room (BBR) App. This involves defining the purpose of the app in the lives of their guests and visualizing how the apps will fulfill that purpose. You will develop native app principles, standards, and experience guardrails to ensure a cohesive and purposeful end-to-end app experience. In addition, you will collaborate with design-focused developers to ideate, prototype, and architect technical implementation strategies to bring ambitious design ideas to life.

* Define the experience vision for lululemon native apps, creating a roadmap for delivery and ensuring alignment with the broader experience vision across channels.

* Develop native app principles, standards, and experience guardrails, and establish mechanisms to scale understanding and adherence within the broader UX team.

* Create mockups, prototypes, haptic pattern designs, and animations that push the boundaries of native app design.

* Collaborate with design-focused developers to ideate, prototype, and architect technical implementation strategies.

* Mentor and guide a team of app specialty UX designers.

* Act as the UX expert and advisor on native app design, standards, best practices, accessibility, and exploration of experiences within the broader Apple ecosystem.

* Drive lululemon UX corporate partnerships with Apple and stay ahead of upcoming releases, launching new native capabilities in the app as part of an early access partnership.

* Attend Apple's WWDC conference to prepare the team for new iOS launches.

Skills and Requirements

* Over 5 years experience designing end-to-end IOS mobile applications; preferably coming from retail or similar enterprise experience

* Experience designing native apps iOS; mobile applications that have been published

* Experience using data to inform designs and doing UX research (e.g. prototyping)

* Expert-level knowledge of Figma an knowing how design systems work

* Experience creating UX artifacts (e.g. IA, wireframes, journey maps, etc.)

* Needs to have used the Apple's Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) null
