Position Summary
The Planner for Supply and Demand is responsible for the total Canada forecast within their respective customer product base, and focused on sales and marketing forecast assumptions. This position is also responsible for the process of supply planning, prepack planning, and display material planning for assigned brands. This position collaborates with multiple stakeholders across functions and regions (Sales, Marketing, Base Forecasting, Customer Service, Supply Planning, Operations, Procurement, Project Managers and Warehousing & Distribution).
This position can be located in the Mississauga or Hanover area, with the flexibility to be on-site as needed
Essential Functions
Demand Planning:
Own the process to manage and review Sales and Marketing forecast inputs and projections, and develop the monthly forecast
Own and lead the demand meetings to support the NA Edgewell Business Planning (EBP) process and subsequently the Global EBP
Focus and report on forecast gaps to address the plan, opportunities, key drivers and gap closing actions
Validate, challenge and align on sales and marketing assumptions
Develop and manage event-based data that impacts the forecast including historical data, new product projections, promotion lifts, specific customer/channel trends, etc.
Report forecast accuracy and root cause on promotional forecasts, and new product introductions. Drive actions for improvement to hit accuracy targets
Supply Planning:
Execute tasks to support product realization of various secondary displays and prepacks to support Marketing, Sales and Production requirements for new product introductions, display program and graphic/packaging changes and product discontinuations
Initiate appropriate manufacturing orders, plan & execute purchase orders and monitor performance against delivery schedules to ensure component and material availability to support finished goods fulfillment of secondary displays & prepacks. Resolve issues and facilitate delivery of finished products
Coordinate and execute Supply Planning activities to support successful launch of new products, product restage transitions and implementation of cost savings initiatives
Maintain SAP and JDA system processes, item master data and planning system parameters in support of key business metrics
Continuously monitor finished goods inventory levels against forecasts & planned objectives. Advise Commercial Team of low/out of stock situations
Prepare various inventory reports (SLOBS, stock outs, inventory projections, etc.) as required
Manage inventory levels and minimize obsolescence exposure. Identify slow moving/obsolete inventory and drive cross-functional collaboration for disposition plans
Provide back-up functions for other supply chain positions as required
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must have 3-5+ years experience in Supply and Demand planning and/or Supply Chain management
Technical aptitude, forecasting and data software experience required (i.e. JDA/Manugistics, SAP, PowerBI, etc.)
Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience a plus
Strong verbal & written communication skills including the ability to influence the decision- making process
Strong initiative and results oriented
Highly developed project management, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to successfully work within and promote a team environment
Intermediate to advanced skills working in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS) Office)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- End to End Supply Chain Certification a plus (ASCM, IBF, etc.)
