Leader Communications Inc. Engineering Technician in Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma

Position Summary

Provides support to the 76 Commodities Maintenance Group (CMXG) at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB) to include engineering services to verify and validate test station and Unit Under Test (UUT) Technical Documents in a systemic method. This includes associated test carts, test fixtures, associated locally managed technical orders, and USAF technical orders for the UUT fuel accessories depot testing process. Edit and create locally managed Test Station Maintenance and Operations Manuals including Illustrated Parts Break Down manuals for the Jet Engine Fuel Accessories Test Stations listed below.

Note - This position is contingent on contract awards and funding which is anticipated in September 2024

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy of commercial data technical orders and the adequacy of the test stands to test associated Units Under Test (UUT). This will include editing test stand commercial data technical orders when discrepancies are found including Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPB), Operation and Maintenance Manuals (OMM), Schematics, and Wiring Diagrams.   • Update OM Manual (in Microsoft Word)

  • Redline markups for IPB

  • Redline markups for Engineering Drawings

  • Update IPB Manual (in Microsoft Word)

  • Update Drawings (in the latest AutoCAD)

  • Submit Configuration Change Report (CCR)

  • Comparison Analysis for each UUT TO versus Work Control Document

  • Comparison Analysis for each UUT TOs versus Test Screen

  • Diagnose end item test failures and determine if the failure is the fault of the test stand, tested item, or combination of both.

  • If the test stand is the fault the contractor shall isolate whether the problem is software, hardware, calibration, or combinations of all three.

  • Provide guidance and assistance to government maintenance and program employees as to corrective actions and solutions for test stand issues.

  • Find errors in technical data, drawings, and software then report the findings to government officials so corrections can be made.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Technology (ABET) Accredited

  • Minimal of 5 years of experience

Skill & Certification Requirements

  • Autodesk AutoCAD

  • Autodesk Inventor

  • Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS)

  • Federal Logistics Data (FED LOG)

  • Joint Computer-Aided Acquisition and Logistics Support System (JCALS)

  • Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS)

  • Logistics Installation and Mission Support – Enterprise View (LIMS-EV)

  • T.O. Remote

  • Proficient in business software applications (i.e., Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)

  • Strong ability to lead, guide, and mentor personnel; and multi-task

  • Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work)

  • Most duties require extended use of a keyboard and computer monitor

  • Extended Telephone Use

  • May require lifting of 20-50 lbs
