Actalent Quality Engineer in Timmonsville, South Carolina

Description:

  • Lead in-depth analysis of quality problems, including parts measurements, to take action that will minimize impact to downstream customers (Manufacturing Depts)

  • Prepare and submit technical documents to communicate quality problems with suppliers using the NARS Honda Trouble Report system (HTR’s), and present details to initiate countermeasure action

  • Set technical requirements for supplier part change points using the NA Change Point Control System (CPCS) and evaluate quality documents before management review

  • Lead complex problem-solving analyses and investigations.

  • Lead supplier Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs) to communication concerns and confirm countermeasures are implemented that eliminate non-conforming conditions

  • Mentor new associates within group on problem solving, procedures, and Parts Quality role and responsibilities.

  • Perform judgment, disposition, and handling functions for non-conforming part problems.

  • Judge part quality received from suppliers

  • Effectively solve quality problems using PDCA

  • Approve supplier countermeasures and supplier change points before production usage

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering

  • +2 years of quality engineering experience

  • Quality Tools: Fishbone, 8D, 5WHY, RCCA

  • CMM experience is a plus, understanding of welding processes OR plastic injection molding
