Cannon Automotive Solutions , a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Engineer in our Tillsonburg , Ontario Stamping Facility. The Quality Engineer is responsible for analyzing all stages of the manufacturing system to maximize the quality of the products being produced . The ideal candidate will have prior knowledge of prevention planning and the correction of non-conformances, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Oversee root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process/ product related concerns

• Enhance the Quality System with continuous improvement activities, such as 5S, Kaizen, and lean methods

• Develop, implement, and participate in training to build/ improve quality awareness among new and existing employees

• Coach, mentor, and support a team of Quality Inspectors

• Analyze failure and preventative actions to ensure a timely resolution to all customer concerns/ complaints

• Plan, organize, and maintain quality documentation

• Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct internal/ external audits

• Evaluate and examine the company’s product specifications to equal customer requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 years of supervisory or related work experience in a manufacturing/ production environment

• Post-secondary education or equivalent

• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively, both written and oral

• Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of supervisory or related work experience in a manufacturing/ production environment

• Experience with computerized living documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP)
