HP Inc. Senior Mechanical Engineer in Suzhou, China

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for mechanical detailed design of NPD (new product development) and sustaining activities, it will cover a wide range of product design, CMF (Color Material and Finish) development and manufacturing verification with cross functional team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Responsible for 3D design and 2D drawings, reviewing the design with ID (US), manufacturing engineer, system engineer and tooling vendors for NPD programs

  • Responsible for defining product reliability requirements in STS (System Technical Specification)

  • Responsible for BOM and ECO ( Engineering Change Order)

  • Responsible for working out the solutions for the mechanical issues found in EB (engineering build), VB (Verification build), AB (Approval build) with cross functional team

  • Evaluating product assembly processes and fixtures/jigs with manufacturing engineer

  • Investigating new technology and application with ID and manufacturing engineer.

  • Other assigned tasks by functional manager.

QUALIFICATION

  • 10 + years' industry experience with at least 8 years' experience on consumer electronic product design.

  • Fair understanding and practical experience on mechanical design to meet product requirements, compliance requirements and environmental regulations, such as ESD, RF, RoHS etc.

  • Experience in plastic injection molding, die casting, and metal stamping.

  • Experience in finish on plastic and metal part, such as anodizing, plating, painting, NCVM, PVD etc.

  • Good understanding to tolerance analysis and GD&T.

  • Good English skill on reading, writing, and verbal communication.

  • Proficient with Creo5.0 (or above) and WindChill software.

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Should be highly motivated, competitive, strong ownership, and attracted to challenging opportunities within a rapidly growing environment.

  • Working experience at US or EU companies is preferred.
