Position Summary

The primary role of the Lead Service Technician is to lead the operation, testing, and maintenance of all equipment including any subsea products. This will be required both onshore and offshore.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL
  • Leads and instructs other technicians on all aspects of the following: job setup, de mob and pre and post testing of all equipment, any and all repairs of equipment.

  • Performs pre and post job testing on all equipment. Loads and unloads gang boxes and work vans.

  • Disassembles, inspects, maintains, repairs and reassembles all equipment. Troubleshoots, identifies and replaces defective parts and components on all equipment.

  • Applies lubricants to machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears and bearings including motors and pumps.

  • Cleans and removes dirt, grease, waste material and pressure washes all equipment.

  • Cleans work area, tools and equipment and performs other routine duties associated with day to day operations and equipment upkeep.

  • Assists with all technical data for job such as drawings and changes to drawings as required for job.

  • Provides support on subsea products and assists in maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of these products.

  • Directly interfaces with client on job issues and problems and maintain professionalism.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment that is involved with job.

  • Maintains credentials and complete required training on-line in Learning Management System.

    ADDITIONAL

  • Assists with shipping and receiving and loading and unloading of all equipment, maintaining general inventories and upkeeps spares kits.

  • Attends pre and post job meetings with project managers and clients as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED
  • Minimum of five (5) years of industrial offshore experience.

  • Knowledge of subsea tree control and water/glycol hydraulic control systems with a minimum of five (5) years of industrial offshore experience in subsea installation of trees, manifolds, and umbilicals, or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

  • Valid passport, TWIC card, and the ability to obtain foreign work visas.

  • Willingness to work offshore and overseas for extended periods of time.

  • Knowledge of Word and Excel.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, remaining attentive to ideas, recognizing responsibilities, and actively participating with others to accomplish assignments and achieve desired goals.

Additional Information

This position is considered OFFSHORE WORK which is characterized as follows:

  • Outdoors and indoors, day and night, as well as over/near water.

  • Requires working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment.

  • Frequently the humidity is above 90%, noise is over 85 decibels and the light is intense/glare.

  • Potential exposure to open fire/flames/sparks.

  • Constant exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases.

  • Work surface is stable, height is elevated.

  • Requires working outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions.

  • Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.

OCCASIONAL

  • Lifts 50-100 pounds

  • Works in confined spaces, kneels, jumps, runs, works while lying on his stomach/back, crawls, and uses repetitive movements of the arms and hands.

  • Differentiates between colors

  • Wears PPE for skin protection

FREQUENT

  • Lifts 25-50 pounds

  • Wears PPE for head, hands

  • Climbs stairs/ladders, stands, balances, stoops, squats, reaches, and lifts/carries objects.

  • Twists, sits with back supported, head forward/flexed, head tilted/rotated

  • Works with arms extended below the waist, unsupported, elbows flexed, wrist supported and unsupported.

  • Operates a motor vehicle.

CONSTANT

  • Lifts10-20 pounds

  • Stands and walks

  • Wears PPE for body, vision, and hearing protection

  • Steel/safety toed shoes/boots
