Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a 3D CAD Modeler to join their digital transformation team. This person will be responsible for reading and understanding 2D Naval Architectural drawings and converting them to 3D CAD Models. This will be done using Aveva, Intergraph Smart 3D, and siemens nx software. The ideal candidate will be eager and trainable. This person will come in and receive 4 weeks of training, so they are not expected to have extensive knowledge coming in. This person will be working within a team, alongside 1-4 modelers at a time. This candidate must be local to Houston, as they must be willing to go on-site 3 days a week.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience using Aveva, Intergraph Smart 3D, and Siemens NX software.

3+ years of experience in 3D CAD Modeling

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office

Marine and Offshore experience CAD experience unique to shipping

Certificate of Drafting or CAD (Computer Aided Drafting/Design)

Bachelor's/ Associates Degree null
