Avera is looking for a Biomedical Engineering Technician (Non-Certified) to join our Team!

    Job Summary

  • Repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment, instrumentation, and support systems of simple to moderate complexity used in healthcare delivery.

  • Inspect, install, and perform inventory assessments and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.

  • Assist medical and nursing staff in the use of equipment.

  • Maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed on biomedical equipment.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Associates degree or military equivalent in electronic or biomedical equipment technology preferred.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment preferred.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • ICC certification is preferred.

  • If performing position from an IA based facility the following is required:

  • Completion of Child & Dependent Adult Abuse for Iowa Mandatory Reporters course within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

    Work Schedule

  • Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

  • 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

    Pay

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $24.75 - $37.00 per hour
