GHD Inc. Mid-Level Environmental Geoscientist in Seattle, Washington

GHD has an opportunity for a Mid-level Environmental Geoscientist to support our Western US environmental team, based out of either Seattle, WA or Oregon. We specialize in environmental risk management, investigations, engineering, waste management, compliance, and water. The team supports brownfield redevelopment projects, site assessments and remediation, and provides services to both public and private sector clients across the Americas. Our projects mitigate long term risks through the development and monitoring of remedial systems and risk management measures. You will work on local, national, and global projects, which may at times entail supporting other GHD office locations. Key responsibilities will include: * Working within a team of technical specialists and leading teams to successful outcomes to meet clients' needs * Developing clear and defensible conceptual site models (CSMs) for complex sites ranging from uplands to contaminated sediments * Preparing work plans and technical reports/presentations for meetings with clients and regulators * Understanding of CERCLA, RCRA, state regulations, and waste management requirements * Engaging in regular client communication relating to project management and technical issues * Actively communicate with the technical team and Project Mangers * Perform Task Management duties including leading scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and health & safety * Assist with proposals including understanding client/project needs and aligned scopes, schedules, and budgets * Work within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other GHD teams * Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative environment The ideal candidate will have the following experience: * Technical delivery of environmental investigations, environmental cleanup, and management plans * Proven experience working with Federal clients including client development/account management * Ability to develop conceptual site models, and preparing remediation strategies * Complete contaminate fate and transport evaluations * Ability to develop and prepare reports for submittal and regulator acceptance * Demonstrated ability to collaborate with clients and project team. * Prepare graphics and reports that present complex technical matter in a clear and concise manner * Experience with WA State Model Toxics Control Act preferred * Experience with emerging contaminants including PFAS preferred * Excellent communication and report writing skills (both verbal and written) * Strong commitment to client service Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, or other discipline relevant to environmental site assessment and/or remediation * 5+ years-experience In an ever changing world, it requires creativity and innovation to stay ahead.
