Seattle Children’s Hospital Manager, Post-Award Business and Finance in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: This position provides operational leadership and direction for the development and growth of the post-award business operations team in Seattle Children's Research Integration Hub (RIH). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring effective and timely cost recovery via sponsor payments for all clinical research grants, contracts, and agreements that have a clinical trial component requiring line item or milestone invoicing. The incumbent will manage financial analysts and other staff as assigned and oversee the post-award financial health of clinical research studies in partnership with Center Business Offices and Office of Research Finance. This position will partner with the Manager of Pre-award Business and Finance to continuously improve clinical trial budgeting and Clinical Research leadership team operations to manage financial and regulatory aspects of sponsored research grants, contracts, and subcontracts for clinical research. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related, health sciences (Biology, or related field), financial, business administration field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field). Minimum five (5) years of experience in clinical research post-award and/or pre-award, such as budgeting, contracting, sponsor invoicing, or reconciling study budgets, etc. 2 years of experience in training, managing people or teams, and/or supervising work of others in a professional setting. Preferred: Master's in Business Administration or equivalent Master's degree. Healthcare Finance experience. Experience with Grant Software. Extensive experience in Excel, e.g. macros/VBA, pivot tables, complex embedded formulas, etc. Understanding of research billing compliance. Understanding of research revenue cycle workflows. Understanding of Epic research billing functionality. Experience in using a Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS). Demonstrated understanding of Epic research billing functionality. Working experience in interpreting billing grids from coverage analysis. Understanding of clinical trial budgets. Working experience collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to engage in process improvements. Min to Max Hourly Salary: $53.80 - $80.70 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $111,904.00 - $167,856.00 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
