Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems presents a unique and exciting career opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst - X-Lab Computer Operations Support Analyst (COSA) (24-108). Join our team of diverse individuals and be part of a mission-critical role located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the X-Lab O&S Leadership and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the X-Lab systems in an experimental environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide first-level technical support to the X-Lab Experiment Leads and perform initial troubleshooting of all X-Lab hardware, software, and networks.

  • Document and report all events/issues to the X-Lab Leadership and receive tasking and direction from the X-Lab O&S Leadership for all operations, tests, experimentation & real-world events.

  • Assist in all hardware/software installations as directed by the local SMEs.

  • Must have background and experience with operations and maintenance of large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.

  • Excellent background and experience in System and/or network administration that could include Linux, Windows, Nutanix cloud infrastructure, MDA CLAN, and DISA EM network usage.

  • Troubleshooting hardware and software components using bash/pearl scripting or Ansible.

  • Data flow usage and ability to troubleshoot with DISA and MDA network connectivity.

  • Ability to solve problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity.

  • Work is closely supervised following established policies and procedures or under general supervision.

  • Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor and within the company or group but may also be external (errors in judgment normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify).

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.

  • 2 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related technical field; 6 years experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)

  • The candidate will maintain DoD 8570 certification for the full contract period.

  • This position generally requires regular business hours, but some nights and weekends will occasionally be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems

  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence and Jira

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.

Additional Northrop Grumman Information:

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
