Job Title: Android Engineer

Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 6 months + possibility of extension/conversion

Note: This is a security project so looking for people who are USC or GC holder

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Android Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Android Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, propose innovative solutions, and deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliverables.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java or Kotlin.

  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance to deliver seamless user experiences.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in mobile app development and integrate them into projects as appropriate.

  • Work closely with QA engineers to ensure the reliability, stability, and scalability of applications.

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages.

  • Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.

  • Previous experience publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Experience with performance optimization techniques for mobile applications.

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
