Job Description

A gas turbine company in San Diego is looking for a Senior Supplier Technical Engineer to join their team. This person will be joining the investment casting team supporting parts for the exterior of gas turbine engines. As a Supplier Technical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Technical Accountability: Oversee purchased parts (including blades, veins, nozzles and more) from initial concept through the product life cycle, ensuring quality management.

2. Supplier Collaboration: Understand and address complex technical issues with suppliers, proposing solutions.

3.Process Expertise: Provide input on casting, brazing, and machining during supplier selection.

4.Quality Improvement: Collaborate with Sourcing Specialists and Buyers to enhance supplier performance.

5.Process Oversight: Lead PPAP and contribute to design and process FMEA.

Skills and Requirements

-5+ years of experience in manufacturing, specializing in supply chain quality at an enterprise level.

-Experience in Supplier quality resolution using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)

-Bachelor's degree in a technical field

-Excellent communication (written/verbal) & ability to work with cross-functional teams -Experience with Oracle/O365 based systems for tracking.

• Experience with ISO 9000 internal and external audit compliance

-Experience in the gas turbine, aerospace, or automotive industry working on machined/ casted parts

-Masters Degree null
