Well established energy utility is seeking an experienced Transmission Line Design Engineer for a direct hire career opportunity in San Antonio Texas. Candidate will utilize PLS CADD to design new and modify existing transmission line plans for an expanding grid. BS Engineering degree and 5+ years experience required.

responsibilities:

• Design, construct, maintain, and operate electric transmission lines

• Develop design packages for capital projects, enhancing customer service and reliability

• Estimate project costs and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation

• Conduct root cause analyses and address encroachment cases

• Manage contracts for labor and materials, ensuring compliance and quality

• Conduct site visits to oversee construction activities

• Undertake other engineering tasks as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in an engineering field from an ABET accredited institution

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas

• 8+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in PLS CADD
