Senior Accountant

Hybrid / Must reside in Salt Lake City, UT

We are an established real estate organization that owns and operates manufactured housing communities throughout the United States. This role will be involved in the family office that works in parallel with the real estate firm. We are seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple trusts and closely held LLCs.

• Manage accounts payable process, including initiating ACH transfers and wire transactions

• Reconcile all financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Prepare and review weekly financial snapshots, along with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Conduct research on atypical transactions and discrepancies, ensuring financial integrity

• Evaluate financial statements to identify fraudulent or unnecessary charges, optimizing financial performance

• Monitor and manage all correspondence related to investments, including distribution and tax documents

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Expertise in QuickBooks Online and proficiency in accounting software (bill.com, Excel)

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

• Must reside in Salt Lake City, UT, and be able to work remotely
