Medical Assistant

Description:

• The Medical Assistant will work with a large DC area hospital system within their Rockville office.

• The assistant will greet patients, handle back office duties, and some front office tasks.

• Will handle patient vital signs, rooming patients, and scribing for the provider.

• The assistant will handle insurance verifications, prior authorizations, and pre-registers outpatients for next day appointments.

• Follows up with patients after procedures or surgeries.

• Maintain patient charts/departmental files/records/logs.

• Will provide an exceptional customer service experience answering patient inquiries and providing patients an understanding of their visit.

• This is a contract to potential hire job opportunity with benefits!

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (shifts will vary between these hours)

Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• 2+ years in the clinical or hospital setting.

• Candidates must be comfortable working in various specialties and working within a fast paced environment.
