Role Description:

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our dynamic in-house Marketing Team. As a member of the marketing team, you will play a vital role in creating visual assets, contributing to marketing campaigns, and maintaining brand standards and consistency across designs. The ideal candidate has experience with creating digital assets, designing and updating print materials using InDesign, and web design in Figma.

This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers the following hybrid schedule options: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce graphics for various channels, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines – including display ads, social media, email, digital and print collateral.

  • Keep marketing materials up to date by performing updates/revisions as needed.

  • Contribute to responsive web design and communicate with web developers.

  • Provide creative input and contribute to brainstorming sessions for new marketing campaigns, product launches, and branding initiatives.

  • Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring that assets are easily accessible for future references and revisions.

  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in technology and design techniques.

  • Collaborate with other creatives, marketing managers, and stakeholders to ensure deliverables meet project requirements and brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College.

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, branding, advertising, or related fields.

  • A track record of commitment to prior employers

  • Evidence of strong academic performance in college

  • Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other relevant tools.

  • Experience in designing for digital platforms, including web, mobile, and social media.

  • Experience in traditional print capabilities such as brochures, collateral, direct mail, etc.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current design trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Demonstrated maturity, strong work ethic, and professionalism in all interactions and deliverables.

  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and inclusivity.
