The Detection Engineer Analyst SME will support the production of detection use cases. Detection Engineer Analyst SME will provide senior-level knowledge and IA abilities to support detection monitoring activities. Detection Engineer Analyst SME will utilize logs and alerts from host operating systems, network intrusion prevention systems, endpoint detection and response tools, anti-virus and host intrusion prevention systems, and other sources to create the ability to detect malicious or unauthorized activity on the network. Applicant selected will develop and perform various IA tasks in accordance with government requirements in order to successfully support detection monitoring requirements.

Certification Requirements: This position will require DoD 8140.03 IAT Level III compliance. Selected candidate must hold a valid IAT Level III certification.Education/ Experience: A bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, engineering, or information assurance is required. Experience with IA tools such as eMass or ACAS preferred. Security Clearance: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Applicant selected will be subject to security investigation(s) and must maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

RMC employees may be subject to COVID-19 vaccination or testing requirements in order to access government facilities.
