Eaton Corporation Lead Analyst IT - Data Engineering in Pune, India

What you’ll do:

This exciting role is part of a our IT team in a large multi-national company. The role offers a broad variety of responsibilities including great learning opportunities.

This is a Lead Analyst IT position providing leadership and specialized technical knowledge to multiple Enterprise programs.

The Lead Analyst IT, will be responsible for providing leadership for Data and Analytics projects across Eaton Enterprise programs driving direction and continuous improvement. Integration and Data Management (IDM) team comprises of experienced resources (full time employees and contractors) who work on a broad range of business critical programs in Data and analytics domain which require data to be integrated across systems or consolidated within various enterprise data warehouses/repositories in addition to analytics and visual reporting capabilities . The candidate should have a solid grounding in IT process, excellent technical acumen, strong business process knowledge, and the curiosity and drive to consistently deliver results that leverage and improve upon existing standards and best practices. The candidate must be highly self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to guide others in ambiguous situations. In addition, candidate will be responsible for technical evaluation, discovery and POC for onboarding of new technologies and tools to address the business need and/or improve the overall productivity of team.

Lead Analyst IT, will be accountable for the following activities/responsibilities

•Work with other Global teams across Value Chains in IT and business entities to address Data and Analytics need of the organization aligned with Eaton's Data strategy.

•Must have experience in executing and delivering key IT programs. Provide oversight on the Overall Data and Analytics strategy

•Lead the delivery of Data and Analytics solutions for Engineering, Digital, Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 domain.

•Assess vendors and collaborate with broader IT team to ensure solutions align with global IT/business strategy.

•Coach, advise and guide Business/IT teams on best practices in deploying Data and Analytics technologies to drive productivity, growth & efficiency.

•Facilitate assessment and maintenance of business capabilities for maturity, priority and overall risk.

•Lead the functional design activities, helps in Business process documentation, assists in data mapping activities.

•Own and drive Data Quality activities. Ensure quality of work deliverables.

•Ensure Design and Development processes are in alignment with Portfolio and PMO processes.

•Assist in advancing Data and Analytics processes across boarder teams.

•Collaborates with Development, Support and Platform team to deliver projects which are easy to enhance and maintain and are able to support the future growth in terms of capacity and performance.

Qualifications:

• Graduate Degree in Comp Science / Mathematics / Engineering / Equivalent.

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.

• Preferred experience in working with Manufacturing, Engineering or Industry 4.0 data domains.

Skills:

•Strong understanding and hands on experience on data platforms (CDP, Snowflake).

• Strong SQL skills

• Advance knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform tools and technologies.

• Strong programming skills (Java, Python).

• Strong understanding of Data Integration tools.

• Strong in Data Modelling and Technical design for data and analytical applications.

• Awareness of MES and ERP systems(SAP, Oracle)

• Good understanding of API-First architecture.

• Experience working on enterprise data projects (data warehouses/master data management, others) with hands-on data analysis, and profiling skills using SQL.

• Experience with Agile and DevOps processes.

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and drive for results.

• Must be able to deal with ambiguity and adapt to changing business needs.

• Good team player, self-motivating, and committed with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and have knowledge of all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle.
