Bio Fab Technologies is a custom stainless-steel fabricator that manufactures equipment for the Food and Pharmaceutical industries and with our continued growth we are looking to add in impact player to our team as a Field Welder-Fabricator. This position is field based for a client in Waukegan, IL - installing, building, modifying equipment & systems at the customer facility. Second position is onsite shop Welder at our Pleasant Prairie, WI location. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: RESPONSIBILITIES: Pipe Fitting - Install stainless steel pipe or tube as needed per the P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) or design print/sketch Welding - Welding materials via TIG or orbital welding processes Polishing - Grind and polishing to customer specifications. Remove stain. Metal Fabrication - Customize fittings, materials, work pieces to job/customer specifications as needed Quality Control (Testing & Inspections) - Pressure testing weld joints with air or water - verify weld integrity (checking for leaks) Design/Layout - Creating piping/tubing paths, custom parts via sketches as needed Participate in all safety programs and follow all safety rules and policies Additional Requirements Problem solving ability: project scope changes, customer changes direction, etc. Schedule Flexibility: overtime is often required to coincide with factory shut downs/availability Ability to obtain safety permits, schedule access to customer work areas, and apply proper Lock-Out/Tag Out per customer specifications Must be able to interface/communicate professionally with end-user customer - you will be representing the company when at the customer site.
