As an Avionics Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell within our Flight Management Systems group , you will be responsible for the analysis, design, integration, validation, and verification of avionics systems. Your role will involve requirement analysis and decomposition, systems design, model-based systems development, systems integration, systems validation and verification, flight test, issue investigation, and customer interaction. You will play a critical role in ensuring the functionality and performance of our avionics systems, contributing to the success of our engineering programs.

You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley) location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline in engineering, science, or technology

  • 2 years of experience working on Flight Controls, or other Avionics or engineering programs, or equivalent experience OR a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering

  • Knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle

  • Past Flight Controls or avionics experience and knowledge

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to identify problems and significantly improve or change existing methods and technique

  • Ability to adapt dictated by program changes

  • Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work independently
