Job Description:

GDIT - Senior Software Developer/Security Engineer

How the Senior Software Developer/Security Engineer will make an impact:

  • Architecting, designing, coding, testing, implementing and troubleshooting Windows and web based software solutions in T-SQL and PL-SQL, C#, Entity Framework, ASP.NET MVC Core and Framework, HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScript /jQuery/Angular.

  • Perform Code reviews as security specialist – able to provide constructive criticism on software solutions to solve problems in security vulnerabilities and maintainability, based on familiarity with DOD Security technical Implementation Guidance (STIGs)

  • Develop and troubleshoot automation of SDLC process and configuration and release management from desktop builds to server automated deployments of SQL Server databases, Oracle databases, scripts, Informatica workflows, .NET applications, Angular, and software supply chain through package management.

  • Administrator/infrastructure tools in a DOD environments informed by DoD Security and Technical Implementation Guidance (STIG).

  • Quickly learn and prototype new technologies and tools to determine soundness for the organization

  • Interpret reports from scanning and static analysis tools such as Web Inspect, Fortify, ReSharper, SonarScanner, ESlint, and Visual Studio Code Analysis to develop and issue recommendations for remediation to the development teams

  • Guide developers in best practices and troubleshoot in T-SQL and PL-SQL, C#, Entity Framework, ASP.NET MVC Core and Framework, HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScript/jQuery/Angular.

  • Based on the above, provide technical and best practice guidance to DLMSS-W Program application development teams.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Must be a US citizen . Must be able to achieve a NACLC security credential.

  • BA/BS or quivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 10 years combined experience technical experience.

  • Must have either an active Security + or CISSP Certification.

  • Must be proficient with Visual Studio suite of tools and Azure DevOpsServer.

  • This is a Hybrid position that requires the successful candidate to be on-site at our client facility in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday of each week . The other 4 days are telework days.

  • Experience with .NET Core+ and Framework, Angular, jQuery, Ajax, ASP.NET MVC, C#, Linq, Oracle, SQL Server, Multi-Threading/Task Parallel Library, Entity Framework, Web Services/Web API, HTML and CSS, IIS 8 or higher, Windows Server, MVC and MVVM design patterns.

The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
