Contribute to the full life cycle of software products. Responsible for analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation of a wide variety of software systems and components for the medical field, specifically in the area of medical device integration with various hospital admissions systems, electronic medical records systems, patient data collection and reporting, and databases. Work on a scrum team and participate in Agile practices for development of tasks, timeframes, design, code, test scripts, and documentation. Write code to acceptance criteria and perform unit and system testing. Develop quality system records and follow departmental quality system practices and procedures. Participate in paired programming and code reviews of other developers. Provide training to other internal and external clients on the use of developed software systems. Maintain work progress inappropriate process tools. Follow quality processes within a FDLC (full development life cycle) environment.

Education and Experience: This position requires a Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field, plus 1 year of work experience in the job offered or in a closely related occupation. In the alternative, the position requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field plus 3 years of work experience in the job offered or in a closely related occupation.

Required Expertise/Knowledge Includes: Experience in distributed or cloud-based systems; Experience in Java 8, 11, 17+, git and other version control systems; Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, multithreading and concurrency; Experience with one or more of the following: JavaScript, node.js, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Spring Boot; Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration tools including Docker-compose and Kubernetes; Experience with SQL Databases including PostgresSQL, MySQL, SQLServer; Experience with continuous integration/delivery tools including Jenkins, Nexus, Bitbucket, Docker registry, SonarQube; Experience with OAuth/OpenID Connect, specifically Keycloak.
