Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Fluid system project engineer you make sure that our contractual requirements are met for a certain project by implementing our reference design or modifying the reference design when contractual obligations require it. You specify various components such as valves, heat exchangers, pumps, and instrumentation accordingly. After that you implement all these various components to an overall skid design and make sure our suppliers follow our requirements. You are the interface between our supplier and our customer to deliver our product such as Hydraulic and Lube Oil Skid in quality and time. You will also be the lead interface to our internal partners for items such as piping interfaces, electrical loads, foundation interfaces and controls instrumentation

  • Knowledge of technical specifications and documents such as P&IDs, equipment & instrumentation datasheets, utilities and chemicals consumption summaries and calculations.

  • Provide detailed engineering/procurement specifications for Sub supplier equipment and provide a technical review with agreed comments and exceptions to specifications.

  • Review customer technical specifications (data sheets, piping and instrumentation diagrams) and prepare clarifications that provide an acceptable technical solution to customer

  • Develop technical comments & exceptions to customer specifications

  • Familiar with using engineering software and techniques to execute the project successfully such as COMOS, Teamcenter etc. First experience with PLM2020.

  • Working with internal and external customers in a multi-disciplinary team

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • Professional experience (3+) in design and updates of piping and equipment models

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards

  • Strong communication & presentation skills

  • Excellent team player to support and serve the global team

  • Ability to work independently with clarity on scope and responsibility

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities

  • Proactive and Solution Oriented

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with design, manufacturing and installation of power generation or other large industrial / rotating equipment, especially electric generators or motors.

  • Technical leadership qualities and role model qualities demonstrated.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM

  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
