Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance and AV Coordinator in Oakland, California

Adecco in Hayward, CA is hiring for a Maintenance and AV Coordinator for our client in Oakland, CA. Our client is a private health foundation whose mission is to improve the availability of affordable, high-quality healthcare for underserved individuals and communities.

As a Maintenance and AV Coordinator you will be responsible for operations and preventative maintenance in the following areas:

  • Mechanical

  • Refrigeration

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • Fire Alarm Systems

  • Furniture repair

  • Painting and patching

  • Lamp and Ballast replacement and repairs

  • Sewer Drain Snaking and Clearing

  • Troubleshooting and repairs

  • Understanding of all facility issues and how to resolve them

  • Works with Manager and A/V Manager to assist in set up, break down and maintenance of A/V equipment.

  • Works with Manager to assist in any set up or break down of events for conference centers.

  • Monitors functions of the life safety systems including fire alarm, sprinkler and evacuation systems.

  • Work with Manager to comply with all OSHA safety guidelines and other internal safety programs including emergency response guidelines, hazmat, Material Safety Data Sheets, lockout-tagout, etc.

  • Works with Chief Engineer on all projects, including Tenant Improvements and equipment additions/upgrades.

  • Recommends ways to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.

  • Recommends and estimates facility repairs and capital improvements for inclusion in the annual budget.

  • Maintains exceptional customer service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years of experience in commercial building, luxury hotel, or low rise building as maintenance person. Must have demonstrated skills in operating hand tools, power tools, scissor lift equipment and other various shop tools and equipment. Must be able to work well alone and as a team member.

  • Self-motivated, self-starter and responsible.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

  • Experience in the following:

  • Mechanical

  • Refrigeration

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • Fire Alarm Systems

  • Furniture repair

  • Painting and patching

  • Lamp and Ballast replacement and repairs

  • Sewer Drain Snaking and Clearing

  • Troubleshooting and repairs

  • Understanding of all facility issues and how to resolve them

  • Experience with a Microsoft Windows program.

  • The ability to work and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • The ability to use any and all hand tools specific to the position.

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, grasp and use precision tools, bend, kneel, sit, use both close and distance vision..

  • Ability to support team and A/V users with urgency, flexibility, and tact.

  • Exercises diversity, equity, and inclusion in all contact with staff and clients.

  • Enjoys working in a team environment.

  • Spanish language fluency a plus.

Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma with certificate of completion from a vocational-technical school or graduation from community college specializing in commercial HVAC and building systems maintenance.

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years of experience of work within commercial or industrial building systems maintenance environment in the hospitality sector or other public assembly venue such as a hotel, conference/convention center, university or airport.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour
