Job Description
The Fleet Sustaining Engineer will have ownership of the mobile fleet maintenance and execution of multi-generational project and product plans for global fleet assets, ensuring compliance with local codes and standards following the Veolia International Organization for Standardization (ISO) policies. In this role, the Fleet Sustaining
Engineer will:
Maintain and execute design and development outputs, such as ERP BOM, drawings and specifications for Global Fleet assets.
Have ownership and execution of Services Fulfillment Management of Change processes (ECO, DCO, etc.)
Provide engineering support for all Equipment Leased To Others (ELTO) related activity at service centers, including refurbishments, new construction, proactive audits of returning Build Own Operate (BOO) equipment, and broken BOO activities
Coordinate with Product Management team to design upgrades or reconfigure existing fleet equipment to increase utilization or adapt to new market conditions
Execute small new product development opportunities
Manage engineering pipeline and execute on projects for Services Fulfillment, and serve as a link to global engineering team when additional resources or support is required
Be the subject matter expert for complex New Product Introductions, including design reviews and inspection of beta products for the Services Fulfillment business
Institute document control practices for fleet inspection records and certifications
Provide supplier qualification assistance
Have consultations on required spare parts inventory for service centers for new products
Ensure ongoing SAP master data creation and maintenance, including BOM / BOE / Fixed Assets creation and updates per ISO procedures, material master creation to support Services Fulfillment operations and designation of critical spares.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelors of Science in Chemical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline
Minimum of 7 years of experience in water treatment industry
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, domestically and internationally as required
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated understanding of Water Treatment Equipment & Processes for Pre/Post treatment (Conventional equipment, MF/UF RO, EDR, EDI, IX, MBR, SWRO), particularly Mobile and BOO heritage platform systems
With limited direction from manager, identifies problems and formulates solutions
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound scientific/engineering principals
Self-motivated, ability to drive projects to completion with minimal oversight, while demonstrating significant problem solving ability with an unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
Tracks long and short term projects and processes effectively and prioritizes based on business criticality
Working with a team of experts, drive product quality and reliability issues to root cause and corrective action using a disciplined, data-driven approach
Effective at managing a cross-functional team of individuals to drive project activities to rapid closure
Ability to work or lead with remote cross- functional and cross-cultural teams
Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, presentation, influencing, facilitation, and computer skills
Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality- Ability to make good business decisions
Capable of understanding / requirements identified in the technical specifications
Proficient with EHS systems of work, HAZOP, MOC and Gensuite processes
Ability to understand, interpret and write routine reports and correspondence and draft technical documentation
Ability to speak effectively before groups and customers, clients, and other employees of organization
Computer proficiency with SAP, Oracle, Baan, MS Access, Google Suite - DOCs, Sheets, Slidesan advantage
