T.Y. Lin International Assistant Resident Engineer in New York, New York

Job Summary

Our Construction Management team is currently seeking a Assistant Resident Engineer for work on various rail, transit and other infrastructure projects. The ARE is assigned on a single or multiple projects, including municipal and transportation work.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish project filing system in accordance with client requirements and manage electronic filing system.
  • Log and manage project submittals, RFI's and correspondence.
  • Create meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
  • Review and file project daily reports.
  • Prepare monthly progress payments , change orders and weekly/monthly CCM progress reports.
  • Prepare change orders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly CCM progress reports
  • Accurately track change order payments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the inspection and construction of transportation projects.
  • Experienced with NYCT, LIRR, MNR or other local NY transit agencies required.
  • OSHA 30-hour safety course, CMIT and Track Safety Training preferred.
  • Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $90,000 - $130,000 annually for this position and local market.
