CAE USA INC C-GM-300 Mechanical Design Intern - Hardware Engineering in Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada

Role and Responsibilities

This position is exclusively open to students in the process of obtaining an academic degree

Internship date : September 3rd to December 20th 2024

The role we are offering you:

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to design, configure and manage the development of cost-effective hardware solutions that meet client requirements .

Are you ready to:

  • Be part of a team responsible for mechanical design

  • Participate in the analysis of drawings, specifications and requirements for both internal and external customers

  • Participate in design activities between the different engineering groups and manufacturing

  • Find technical solutions to meet project requirements

  • Integrate solutions via 3D modelling and detailed drawings

  • Develop and document new methodologies and procedures

  • Design for manufacturability and feasibility

    Our ideal candidate has :

  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts

  • Working knowledge of CAD systems, word processing software and spreadsheets

  • Experience with Solidworks or Catia

  • Knowledge in PLM systems

  • Good technical writing and communication skills

  • Ability to manage priorities in a context of multiple and complex deliveries

  • Bilingualism essential

  • Experience with Creo 3 an asset

    Preferred E ducation

    Pursuing an undergraduate degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field with 3 years or 2 internships completed

    Location of the internship is Montreal/ Côte-de- liesse .

    Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.

    *All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years .

    *Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 1 6 weeks.
