position summary Merjent, Inc. (Merjent) is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional who is eager to work on diverse energy-related projects across different states. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting topographic surveys, ALTA/boundary surveys, land surveys, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate project execution in compliance with all regulatory standards. Additionally, this role involves a commitment to developing our internal team by training field staff to work as survey technicians, enhancing our surveying capabilities and efficiency. Flexible/hybrid work arrangements are available, as Merjent promotes this for self-sufficient professionals who can work and/or learn successfully in a remote work environment. The anticipated salary for this position is between $143,000 - $152,500, depending on qualifications and experience. responsibilities The Licensed Land Surveyor is responsible for the following: Conduct and oversee land surveys for a variety of energy-related projects, including pipeline, natural gas, electric transmission and distribution, and water resources projects. Prepare and review survey reports, maps, drawings, and descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide surveying expertise and support project planning and execution. Train and mentor internal field staff to develop their skills as survey technicians, ensuring a high standard of surveying practices and contributing to team growth. Manage survey equipment and technologies, staying abreast of advancements in surveying tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure all surveying activities adhere to industry standards, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
