The Opportunity

KBR's Land Team is currently seeking experienced Project Managers (PM) to lead PM activities across a number of Defence projects.

As the PM you will oversee the PM activities and deliverables of the project, as well as providing key support in the leadership, management and mentoring of project staff as well as acting as a main point of contact for our Defence client.

Additionally these roles will have responsibility to support budgeting and cost management, as well as risk management, reporting, governance and quality assurance.

A focus on collaboration, building relationships, managing KBR’s partnerships and maintaining client satisfaction is key to these roles, with a view to maximising business opportunities within the agreed operating structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.

  • Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and control project activities to meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.

  • Provide updates on project progress, address client concerns, and ensure overall client satisfaction.

  • Foster positive relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.

  • Facilitate communication and coordination among team members to enhance overall project efficiency.

  • Ensure projects comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and other relevant records.

  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure project outcomes meet established standards.

  • Regularly review and update documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Make informed decisions based on a thorough analysis of information and potential implications.

  • Proactively identify and address challenges to keep the project on track.

  • Possess a deep understanding of the respective industry, including current trends and best practices.

  • Apply industry knowledge to contribute valuable insights to project planning and execution.

  • Pursue continuous professional development to stay abreast of industry advancements.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience ​

    Essential:

  • Qualifications in engineering or project management

  • Minimum of 5 years of related project management experience

  • Defence and/or Defence Industry experience

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organisation, and coordination.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team engagement.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

  • Proficient in project management tools and software.

  • Currently hold an NV1 (or above) Security Clearnce
