Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for category manager in our Front Store Health & Wellness HCOE business unit at CVS Health. CVS HCOE formats are designed to build loyalty and be relevant to the community. As the Hispanic population in the United States grows, CVS Health has taken a multi-pronged approach to better meet the needs of this specific customer population. As a Category Manager, you will be a critical contributor to the categories, their respective P&Ls and responsible for leading the Hispanic merchandising activity and strategy on a national scale. You will be accountable in attaining budgeted sales, margin, and winning market share within the business. This role will be directly involved with driving pricing, product, display, reporting, and go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage insights and data to ensure that CVS is and continues to be ahead of the market in Health and Wellness for our customers.

  • Monitor operational opportunities and communicate with team on ideas for improvement of shrink, sales, and expenses

  • Close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and suppliers

  • Superior financial acumen

  • Achieve Market Share growth developing Annual Category Business Plans 1-3-5 years out by developing and implementing category strategic plans i.e., weekly, seasonal and annual merchandising programs to deliver industry leading results

  • Drive the product review and planning process initiating and executing marketing plans for weekly, seasonal marketing programs maintaining positive trade relations and developing strategic alliances

  • Responsible for promotional strategy and planning

  • Key support in the budgeting and forecasting process

  • Manage assortment across store and digital channels

  • Prepare high quality materials to support presentations to senior leadership and other internal groups

Required Qualifications

  • 3 - 5+ years relevant experience

  • 3- 5+ years of experience working on cross-functional teams, internally and/or with suppliers

  • 3- 5+ of experience developing cohesive category strategies to accomplish both short-term and long-term goals and adapts change based on consumer and market dynamics.

May be asked to travel up to 10 – 15%Preferred Qualifications

  • Corporate retail merchandising experience

  • Experience managing a retail Profit and Loss (P&L)

  • Omni-channel experience

  • Working knowledge of modern merchandising tools and systems (promotions, assortment, pricing, and optimization)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both colleagues and suppliers

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Education

  • Bachelor's degree

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$60,300.00 - $132,600.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
