Job Description

The Buyer role within the Supply Chain Management organization of an aerospace/defense company is responsible for procurement of a diverse portfolio of programs. The Buyer will be a key role in procuring an array of services for the organization across a variety of programs as part of aircraft development. Procurement of engineering services, purchase services, completing change orders and initiation of new services are core functions of this role. This is a virtual position.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or equivalent work experience in Procurement/Supply Chain Management.

10+ years' experience in Supply Chain Management in Aerospace/Defense

8+ years' experience as a Buyer working with government contractors

Experience completing change orders and modifying hours across labor categories

Experience buying services such as engineering, maintenance work, kicking off contracts etc.

Knowledge of compliance acquisition procedures and FAR/DFAR requirements.

International subcontract experience with working knowledge of import/export compliance and ITAR regulations.

Must be a U.S. Person. Experience with SAP and SAP light null
