Position Summary

To lead and manage the local maintenance team and ensure all Oceaneering Angola facilities are kept in a safe, presentable and useful condition.

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

  • Evaluate, define, and development of specific maintenance concepts, programmes, and strategies for all Oceaneering Angola facilities and facilities under OA responsibility

  • Ensure effective input and management of data within the specified maintenance database

  • Undertake spare part evaluation and management system optimization

  • Operate computerized maintenance management system (PeopleSoft) and ensure relevant maintenance team members are competent with the system

  • Support re-evaluations of maintenance programmes based on operational feedback and results of site audits

  • Liaise with Technical Authorities to deliver optimised maintenance requirements

  • Facilities include but are not limited to: 100+ room staff house, 5 story office building, fleet of 25+ vehicles, auto maintenance shop, machine shop (with manual and CnC equipment), fabrication shop, forklifts and multiple generators at all sites.

  • Maintenance team includes in house generalists as well as subcontract specialists.

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for the in country maintenance team.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering related discipline (E)

  • Proficient in the use of engineering drawings

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Experience

Minimum 5 years of specific experience related to the job description (E)

Must be familiar with QA/QC systems/procedures and maintenance management systems (E)

Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal (E)

Required skills and Aptitudes

Ability to generate a team approach to workflow execution and problem solving (E)

Provide leadership, co-ordination or guidance to others (E)

Good communicator, both written, verbal and technical to make complex terminology simple for the benefit of others (E)

Extensive background in mechanical and electrical systems (E)

Computer Skills

Microsoft Office (E)

PeopleSoft (P). If no previous experience, training must be completed in a timely manner

Working Conditions

This position will split time between OFFICE WORK and SITE WORK

  • Approximately 30% of time indoors in an office environment

  • 70% of time on the various work sites observing maintenance teams and touring facilities
