Ford Motor Company Senior Product Designer (UX/UI)– Ford Pro Mobile in London, United Kingdom

The Ford Pro Digital team is looking for a high-impact and versatile Senior Product Designer(UX/UI) to join our mobile app team. Our mobile app empowers users with innovative tools and features to streamline operations, enhance communication, and optimize fleet performance.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience and interface design of our mobile app, ensuring it meets the unique needs of fleet managers and drivers while aligning with Ford Pro's vision and objectives.

You'll collaborate closely with a talented and collaborative team, creating transformative digital experiences for our commercial audience.

  • Lead the end-to-end design process for the Ford Pro Mobile App, from concept to launch and beyond.

  • Evangelize UX practices across a portfolio of projects, and be a strong voice for human-centered design, supported by a growing team of talented designers and leaders.

  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the inclusive culture of the Digital team.

  • Advocate user-centered design perspectives for your areas of focus that are informed by business needs and technical feasibility.

  • Provide consistency in approach, and integrity in usability and accessibility, across design efforts with multiple product teams.

  • Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance user engagement, usability, and satisfaction.

  • Ensure consistency and coherence across all screens and interactions, following Ford Pro's brand guidelines and design standards.

  • Work cross-functionally with leaders and colleagues to define, and execute against, strategy and projects.

  • Engage in project planning and scoping to support business needs and design opportunities, setting teams up for success.

  • Balance user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility to solve problems effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality experiences.

  • Concept, design, test, launch and refine new products and services through systems thinking that solve known and emergent user needs.

  • Support design efforts for a data-driven, test & learn program, while incorporating analytics.

  • Work with stakeholders to proactively identify problems & solutions.

  • Support design leadership team on communication and presentation needs.

  • Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to drive innovation and collaboration.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 6+ years of experience in software design.

  • 1+ years of experience with leading and coaching UX designers (directly or indirectly).

  • Solid understanding of mobile design patterns, platform guidelines (iOS, Android), and best practices.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency in Figma, including advanced features and capabilities such as Autolayout, Variables, etc.

  • Strong appreciation for research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis. Ability to translate research findings into actionable design insights and recommendations.

  • Understanding of information architecture principles, including organizing and structuring complex information in a clear and intuitive manner.

  • Demonstrable expertise in UX design in all phases across a variety of projects.

  • Experience delivering projects from definition through execution and refinement.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in mobile app design, including user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design.

  • Facilitation skills and experience in running workshops.

Preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master’s in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Service Design, Graphic Design, or a design-related degree (i.e. Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Human Factors, etc.).

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion in a remote and dynamic working environment.

  • Familiarity with service design principles and methodologies, including user journey mapping, service blueprints, and ecosystem mapping.

  • Proven ability to build consensus, influence, and work effectively within a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and engineers. Experience with building relationships, credibility, and proactive communication with team members and leaders.

  • Ability to communicate the value of product features and identify trade-offs to deliver useful digital products.

  • Proven experience in combining quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions.

  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing specifically within the context of mobile app design. Ability to incorporate research findings into the design process to create user-centric solutions.

  • Understanding of translation of business metrics to inform goals of user-centric design.

  • Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization techniques, with the ability to present complex information in a visually compelling and easily understandable format.

  • Flexibility to work on initiatives with unclear and/or changing requirements.

  • Passion for the automotive, transportation and fleet management industry.
