Key Responsibilities
Has an overall vision/direction of running and leading a shared service center for JAPAC finance. Maximize the opportunities to sync and streamline the decentralized country processes for an optimal JAPAC shared services model. (20%)
Steady migrate synergized accounting activities into KL BSC with a right cadence and upgrade service level from current operational/AP related work to an elevated support for JAPAC triple size growth in the next 7 years. (20%)
Strong experience in people management , secure and retain talents under a healthy turnover rate (20%)
Ensure compliance to variety of Regulation and Policies (Sarbanes-Oxley Act, accounting principles following US GAAP, VAT regulations, etc.) (15%)
Setup and evolve appropriate KPIs and enhance the dashboard for the performance tracking. (10%)
Problem solver and strong capacity in “zoom in / zoom out” and handle complexity under dynamic/diversified business environment in JAPAC countries. (10%)
Adhoc duties/projects (5%)
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred
Overall acumen of all accounting aspects, US GAAP knowledge is required
Experience with SOX requirements is a required
8+ years in leadership of MNC shared service center and people management positions
Language Proficiency in English required; either Japanese or Chinese is preferred
Additional Skills:
Familiar Knowledge of with healthcare industry compliance/regulation is preferred
Entrepreneurial spirit and interest in building a new organization / business model from the ground up is a preferred
Expert understanding of financial procedures and / or systems while looking beyond existing methodologies and own discipline to define and resolve complex problems
Sophisticated Effective communication and influencing skills across countries, regions and headquarters incl. cross country, region, HQ. Develop relationships and leverage them to influence change
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, database tools, financial systems, and ERP systems
Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
Coach/mentor team members
Ability to travel within Asia Pacific
