Application Requirements & Essential Functions for Custodian/Janitor Associates:

  • General duties as a Custodian/Janitor team member include sweeping and washing floors, vacuuming and carpet maintenance, dusting, washing windows, cleaning both public and employee lavatories, etc.
  • Replacing light bulbs and HVAC air filters
  • Washing walls, glass areas and windows
  • Perform special cleaning projects as needed
  • Operate power tools effectively and efficiently. Make minor repairs with simple hand tools to fixtures and furnishings
  • Removing rubbish and cleaning containers
  • Cleaning entrance, shoveling snow and performing general yard care
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures as a Custodian/Janitor team member
  • Reports facility related problems and concerns to appropriate personnel
  • Qualified candidates must be at least eighteen years of age or older and be able to pass a standard background check
  • Able to climb ladders and work from, able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work a combination of days, nights and weekends between the hours of 7am 7pm as a Custodian/Janitor team member

General Summary:

On a daily basis the Custodian/Janitor team ensures that the assigned buildings and surrounding areas provide comfort and safety through effective cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance procedures. This individual as a part of our Custodian/Janitor team will perform general cleaning duties which include sweeping, dusting, washing windows, washing floors, carpet maintenance, vacuuming, lavatory cleaning, snow removal and other related duties. Custodian/Janitor candidates must have an unrestricted drivers license and the ability to lift up to 50lbs. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.Qualified candidates must be available to work Tuesdays 7am-3:30pm, Wednesdays 10:30am-7pm, Thursdays 7am-3:30pm, Fridays 7am-3:30pm, and Saturdays 7am-3:30pm OR Mondays 7am-3:30pm, Thursdays 7am-3:30pm, Fridays 7am-3:30pm, Saturdays 7am-3:30pm, and Sundays 10:30am-7pm.
