At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction.

This position will perform buyer tasks including purchasing raw materials, components, hardware, support products and/or subcontract services necessary to support Aerospace related business operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
- Purchase the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in correct amounts.
- Research and evaluate suppliers, based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- Maintain open supplier order report to ensure on time delivery of purchase orders. This includes timely & effective communications with suppliers
- Monitor/evaluate and follow applicable laws and regulations to determine impact on organizational activities.
Advise supervisor of any issues that may impact production.
Use ERP system, associated paperwork and hand-written requisitions to:
- Identify suppliers/vendors that can meet requirements for cost, quality, & delivery.
- Establish proper requests-for-quotes (RFQs) with suppliers/vendors.
- Select best value for company and negotiate, as necessary, prior to purchase order (P.O.) placement.
- As necessary, monitor progress of supplier/vendor to ensure quality parts/services are delivered on-time.
Adhere to AS9100 quality requirements & processes
Resolve any supplier/vendor issues that arise (payment, quality rejections, quantity variances, etc.):
Upon rejection of supplier product, work with appropriate company personnel to get proper cause/corrective action form supplier.
