Contract role for 1 year. Hybrid model 50% from home, 4-days work week model.

Description:

  • Small division with 2 buyers

  • Procuring all items for all of the construction, mechanical, electrical, civil and day today

  • Electrical conduit and wire, concrete and paint

  • Experience working with quality standards

  • Construction with knowledge of procurement

  • Working with project management and field crew

  • Quality requirements - experience with ISO requirement

  • Market experience with supplier

  • Know who would carry these suppliers and what they sell

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

IMPORTANT: Need to be able to communicate cross-functionally with PM’s and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met and the proper equipment/parts are ordered

CGD is required

MUST HAVE: Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or equivalent required from a respectable institute

Diploma - can be a 2 year program if they have experience

MUST HAVE: 3-4 years of related procurement experience minimum

Ideally in the 5-7 year range, with experience in the nuclear and/or construction sectors preferred.

MUST HAVE: Need to have experience working through ERP systems

Ideally this is in SAP but this is trainable, if the candidate is strong JD Edwards, Oracle etc is acceptable

MUST HAVE: Excellent skills utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Pivot tables and vlookups

MUST HAVE: Knowledge of electrical / mechanical codes and standards, including ISO, N299, N285 strongly preferred

NICE TO HAVE: APICS, SCMP or related certification an asset.
