Introduction:

GlobalFoundries is looking for a highly motivated Test Chip Architect for Foundational IPs in the Global Organization, based in Bangalore. The successful candidate will work with 100% quality and minimal cycle time in mind. This role requires a close working relationship and collaboration with internal IP teams, technology, test and product engineering teams. The roles and responsibilities will include Test Chip Architecture definition RTL Coding and Implementation, Post Silicon Test and understanding of Silicon Report Generation

Your Job:  

  • Lead the Foundational IP Test Chip development cycle from Architecture definition, Test Spec development, SoW creation, RTL Coding, RTL Verification, LEC and AMS Simulations

  • Architecture development meeting the QMS standards for CPA Approval.

  • Development of Timing Constraints, Test Pattern generation (STIL), Test Bench

  • Lead the effort on Probe card specifications, Load specs and package specs.

  • Implementation of ESD Test for HBM and CDM checks, HTOL and Temperature Cycling process of Consumer and Auto G1 IP’s.

  • Usage of JMP tool for Raw Data conversion from Tester and convert to content of Silicon Report.

  • Design full custom circuits, simulate, verify, analyze functionality and statistical analysis.

  • Define AC and DC characterization Measurements of IP’s for Si Validation.

  • Model Hardware collaboration Analysis for pre and post Silicon data for IP’s

  • Participation in architecture discussions, implementation & design/Test Chip reviews.

  • Work closely and collaborate with IP development, Post Si Test, Methodology and other stakeholders.

  • Be able to collaborate with program Managers and technical design leads on multiple concurrent projects.

  • Guide engineers in the team during technical discussions.

    Required Qualifications:  

  • Requires Master’s Degree (MS/MTech) or Bachelor’s Degree with Specialization in Computer Engineering or Electrical (VLSI, Microelectronics and related fields) from a reputed university.• B.S. + minimum of 12 years of relevant experience• M.S. + minimum of 10 years of relevant experience• PhD + minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

  • Test Chip Architecture definition knowledge and converting to RTL is a Must.

  • Knowledge in RTL Verification, Post Silicon Debug and design Validation.

  • Minimum of 12 - 15 years of experience in ASIC & SOC Design

  • Applicant should have a proficient knowledge of and experience with EDA (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys…) tools for Front End and Back End design & simulations (DC/Genus, ICC2/Innovus , Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE, etc.)

  • Experience in NVM Memory (MTPM/OTP/MRAM/SRAM/eFlash) designs is a Plus.

  • Must have good technical verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams

    Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Knowledge in various technologies (Bulk, CMOS & FDSOI) process is desired.

  • Experience in Silicon debug and design validation.

  • Patents and publications will be a good advantage.

  • Exceptional Spoken and Written Proficiency in English

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies, opportunities, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to interact effectively with both external and internal customers at all levels and from various cultural backgrounds.
