Role overview
To function as a Cold Chef De Partie (CDP) for the Calo Kitchen and work alongside the head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring orders and re-stocking. The successful candidate will employ their culinary skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
Experience in safe operation of commercial kitchen food processor, slicer machine, vegetable washing machine, etc
Lead, mentor and manage Cold team
Maintain standards for cold storage, rotation, quality and appearance
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations
Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
Planning, problem solving, and teamwork
Forecasting the Cold section Requirements ahead of time
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
Must have had previous experience as DCDP or CDP
Must have 3-5 years of experience for the DCDP position, and 5-8 years for the CDP position within the hospitality or catering industry
Must be a proficient communicator in English
Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility experience is a plus
Knowledge and competency
Exceptional proven ability in kitchen management
Able to divide responsibilities and monitoring progress
Outstanding communication and leadership skills
Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
