Position Summary

Project manage the Indonesia Integrity Management team based in Jakarta for New Build and In-service projects, managing activities and resources in accordance with organisation procedures, workscope requirements, budgets, and plans. Review and evaluate progress and ways of improving the work of the project.The role will interface with both internal engineering teams and external clients both in Indonesia, UK, and other Oceaneering offices; therefore the individual must be a proficient communicator and networker. A key focus of the role is on developing relationships with existing and new clients and building business with them in Indonesia.

Duties & Responsibilities


Project Management

  • Focal point for delivery of all aspects of designated project(s)

  • Manage day-to-day operational requirements of the project in association with the Technical Lead / Principal Engineer

  • Liaise across delivery centres in Indonesia, UK, and other Oceaneering offices to ensure sufficient competent personnel are available to meet project implementation demands

  • Ensure personnel work within their competency responsibilities and areas of scope

  • Work closely with client and project team to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the assigned projects

  • Develop and maintain project management plans with the client and project team to ensure that all project activities are adequately scheduled

  • Responsible for the correct identification and prioritisation of areas of work and resource demands in association with the Technical Lead / Principal Engineer

  • Coordinate and facilitate delivery of project objectives; track progress and review project tasks to ensure deadlines are met appropriately

  • Assist in development and agreement of Key Performance Indicators, and ensure that agreed data and actions necessary to deliver are provided

  • Responsible for the commercial control of contracts as defined in the contract agreement under workscope, including management and monitoring of agreed scopes within agreed budgets, and management of change in scope / time /cost

  • Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of the integrity process between Oceaneering and the client within and across various assets

  • Manage Client communications and reporting as required, ensuring that business and HSE risk implications on integrity issues are clearly identified, and appropriately assessed for consideration within the Oceaneering Integrity Management Leadership Team

  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored

  • Support regular audits and assessment of the service as planned, monitor and review any impact of changes in standards and legislation for designated projects

  • Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems

  • Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company

  • Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCarries out supervisory responsibilities for the Indonesian Jakarta based New Build Integrity Management Team in accordance with the organisation's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.




  • Degree qualified in an engineering or business related discipline, (preferably Incorporated status if engineering or tertiary qualification if from a business discipline) - Note: lesser qualifications may be accepted provided exceptional experience in project management can be demonstrated

  • Experience of working at Project Manager level in a Client facing role and managing engineering focussed project teams

  • Experience in financial control and delivering to budget

  • Proven experience operating in a role with remote reporting lines

  • Familiar with QA/QC systems and procedures, service quality, and managing customer satisfaction


  • Minimum 10 years experience of effectively leading project and engineering teams

  • Experience of delivering Integrity Management / Inspection services across multiple disciplines in the Oil and Gas Industry

  • Understanding of Inspection requirements and exposure to the various methodologies used in determining inspection frequencies and types

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, and understanding of document management systems

  • Working knowledge of planning software (e.g. MS Project, Primavera)

  • Previous experience of working in Asia and the UK

Working Conditions

  • The position is predominately considered onshore office work. This is almost exclusively indoors during the working day, and occasionally at night, in an open place office with access by stairs and lifts.

  • There may be a requirement to go offshore by helicopter/ship to floating structures/fixed platforms for up to 1 week at a time, and up to 3 to 4 times a year. This will require typical offshore PPE and inspection type activities requiring confined space entry (CSE).

  • There may be a requirement to go to an onshore location to perform the same duties as above during the construction and commissioning phases of new build projects, and existing plants for in-service Integrity management projects. This may be for up to 3 weeks at a time, and up to 3 to 4 times a year.

  • Offshore and Onshore work may also be characterised as living, working and sleeping on oil and gas production facilities with PPE and permit to work restrictions outdoors, over/near water, exposed to all weather conditions or inside exposed to high noise levels, extremely bright or inadequate lighting, cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
