“DISCOVER Commercial & Strategy” is a unique Trainee program in Boehringer Ingelheim’s Corporate Division Human Pharma Germany. During this two-year program, you will learn about strategies & decisions needed to realize the journey of a compound, from clinical development through to a marketed product.

As a recently graduated Young Professional, you will learn more about our strategy to secure long-term growth, have the possibility to see different working cultures and make an impact during your rotations in various teams across the organization.

Additionally, you will be part of Boehringer Ingelheim’s cross-functional trainee initiative BI DISCOVER. More than 30 trainees from the various business units are united in BI DISCOVER. From day, 1 you are a part of this trainee circle and will be participating in various events (e.g. Trainee Days, Leadership Talks, Afterwork Events) and soft skill trainings. This allows you to extend your network inside and outside your trainee program and exchange, learn and get inspired with and from other trainee and graduates.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Aim of the Trainee-Position is to gain an broad overview as well as getting deep insights into the different divisions of Human Pharma Germany. Focus should be on the strategic development of Human Pharma Germany by working on strategic relevant projects and processes in key-departments or -teams

• The rotations of 4-6 months can be completed in departments like Marketing/Sales, Omnichannel Excellence, Customer Insights, Data Science, Market Access & Healthcare Affairs or Medical and should support with creating an overarching network within the company

• Your tasks will reach from assisting with daily business as well as proactive initiation, planning, support and execution of different (part)projects within Human Pharma Germany under supervision of a mentor or experienced employee

• Presentations and management discussions with different stakeholder groups will be an integral part of your Trainee program

• There can be an option for an abroad rotation to gain international BI experience

Requirements

• During the Trainee program, you perform highly complex tasks in a short time. We are looking for candidates who are agile and able to show a high level of independency. The successful applicants must bring: 

• Master-Degree in BWL, VWL, health economics, natural science or comparable

• First practical experiences, like internships, in strategy development, marketing, digital communication, analyses or health politics and pronounced interest in working for an innovative pharma company

• Relevant experience abroad through internships or study semesters

• Structured, independent and aim- and solution oriented way of working

• Excellent analytical and conceptional skills to visualise, support and communicate complex business processes

• Constructive assertiveness, routined and convincing presentation towards a variety of audiences

• Strong digital competency and first know-how of relevant technical tools and plattforms

• Affinity for digital topics and a growth mindset as well as pronounced service- and customer-orientation

• Fluent in German and English
