Oceaneering Training and Development Support Manager in Houston, Texas

Through collaboration with the Training Management Team, manage the development and maintenance of the Learning & Performance Management System, Curriculum Development Team and global processes and documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manages the Corporate LMS, Content Development and Houston based centralized training teams.
Development and maintenance of new and existing processes with companywide standardization being the ultimate goal when/where possible.
Providing consultative support related to new training programs, large training/compliance initiatives, benchmarking and new system functionality.
Establishing processes for increasing daily efficiencies and improved customer support.
Manages, researches, and resolves Corporate LMS trouble tickets as necessary.
Identifying and prioritizing new system functionality/customization requests for evolving business needs and testing solutions.
Ensure Management System is compliant with applicable regulatory, client, industry and certifying bodies.
Develop training performance metrics and measure performance on a regular basis (i.e.- analytics of the competency programs: effectiveness (based on both location and physical task, workplace performance, impact of performance criteria), score trending, top contributors, status of employees, retention, etc).
Document Control of all Management System documents.
Development and maintenance of a master document list.
Management of the Operations Training web portal.
Oversee Curriculum Development Processes and Priorities.
Lead a team in providing innovative, engaging, and instructionally sound learning deliverables while partnering with other team members to ensure the most effective and engaging learning.
Manage the development priority list based on the demands identified by the Training Managers.
Develop a standardized, streamlined approach to content development including eLearning, Instructor Led Training and Competency Development.
Provide aesthetic and technical guidance, support and oversight to curriculum developers.
Analyze business impact.
Manages and develops partnerships with local, state, federal and international organizations to maximize available grant funding.
Be the Point of Contact for OPITO and other Learning & Performance industry group/forums (i.e. IMCA, Center for Offshore Safety).
Develop & manage Operations Training Branding & Marketing materials.
Collaborate with Training Managers to meet the strategic objectives of the organization.
Manage all corporate 3rd party training relationships/agreements.
Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience performing systems configuration, database management.
- Proficiency in html programming.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.
- Familiar with current learning and performance improvement industry standards, approaches, and innovations.
- 5 years experience in Creative Media Production leadership role.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of training experience in the oilfield or related industry preferred.
- Experience with online learning management systems and e-learning, course authoring software is preferred.
